On the 3rd day of Creepmas...

we'll decorate the halls with... pumpkins.

It's something that's fun for everyone.. no matter the age.

Easy kid-friendly project: Put a santa hat on it and glue some googly eyes and had some cotton balls... instant Santa.
In the middle: Painting, etc.
Experienced: a wicked Santa carving like the one shown above.

I chose to paint Santa on mine...

"Bread Dead"

So my mind has been all over the place today... I guess it's due to Mondayitis or the fact that I am "bread dead". Bread dead is when you are so tired that you confuse the words brain and bread and it's totally accepted by your peers as a legitimate statement.
So here are some random bits floating in my head today:

Punkin Chunkin... I wish I could attend :/

Spellbinder 1988 Review
Video is suggestive, but nothing you wouldn't see
 on today's  programming.

I give it:

Tim Daly and Kelly Preston costar in this magical drama about
a young lawyer who falls in love with a woman named Miranda.
But Miranda has a secret…

I don’t want to give too many spoilers so I am going to keep it to a
minimum. But I will say this movie is great. I love the plot and the
characters. The movie ends in a direction very unexpected and
doesn’t end with a “happily ever after” good-feeling. Normally
I love happy endings, but love doesn’t always end up with a
walk down the aisle.

Anyway, watch it and let me know what you think.

Spose's "I'm Awesome" - it cheered me up today on the way home.
And the video is hilarious... Love the Snuggie part.

The fact that it is now COMPLETELY dark outside by 6 p.m.

And last, but not least: Zombie elves

Apparently Asmara has joined me:

Apparently she is taking this to heart...

2010 Carving Fun

October 28, of last year, began our wedding festivities. Our families held a pumpkin carving party. It was an event to not only to get together before the wedding, but to carve up some spookiness for the decor.

Some Decor...

Yard stake
I went shopping today and discovered some incredible finds... of course I'm not going to go cray-cray and post everything. I did want to show this awesome yard stake (sorry the plastic is still on it) that I purchased from Michael's. It was oringally priced at $24.99 and I got it for a steal at $9.99! Totally made my day (Not to mention saving me some time)!

I also wanted to share some pics from around the house. I am still working on having everything done for the party this upcoming Saturday... I'm so excited! Of course some snafus occurred, but at least they have been minor thus far.
To the left is my gypsy table. I bought a real crystal ball last year (for my wedding decor). I bought zombie tea light holder from ABC Distributing. I used coins from leftover honeymoon currency (we went to Mexico). The book is a really cool copy The Hobbit. It has a really neat texture & a rich brown color (the title isn't on the outside of the book). I also made my own tarot cards.

To the right is one side of my fireplace display. I used a paint marker to draw the words on and just hand painted the black pumpkin. I used a battery-operated LED tea light (just in case someone tripped over it). We haven't had rain in a LONG time, so I sure would hate to start a fire! We are actually under a burn ban (for the rest of the year) so my plans to use Tiki torches in my graveyard out front have kicked the bucket.

This picture shows some of the outside decorations. Ineed to photograph the cemetery.

I love this! He decorates my driveway entrace flower bed.
