The Creepmas Spirit is abound

This is Clyde and he lives at my friend Steve's house.

On the 12th Day of Creepmas...

It's time to be green...

No! Not green with envy, but earth-friendly green.

http://eartheasy.com
This site gives many options for those Creepers trying to be a little more conscious about their carbon footprint. Some of the tips offered are:
  • Buy Less "Some holiday gifts fill a practical need and need to be bought new. But many gifts are really gestures of thoughtfulness. You can give more while spending less."
  • Buy Smart - think locally made or battery-free gifts.
  • Connect with Nature
  • Homemade Cards
  • Reuse/recycle
So visit the site and see what kind of impact you can make!

Also did you know?
Consumers can save big when it comes to dollars, and the planet, if they reduce their consumption of this non-recyclable material. According to Eco-Chick.com, if every American family wrapped just three presents in reused materials, it would save enough paper to cover 45,000 football fields.

Zombies are the ultimate environmentalists. They "recycle" humans, use no electricity, they don't shop or use vehicles.

Also for Creepmas decorating: How about you line your driveway with these?

Don't forget to add your name to the ebook giveaway!
    Today is the last day!

Just purchase the red & white lighted yard stake c. canes and then paint. Easy and cool!

On the 11th Day of Creepmas ...

I tried to readapt this popular holiday song.. not sure where I stand on it.

Deck the halls with poison ivy,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be naughty,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Don we now our gray apparel,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Troll the ancient Yule tide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
See the blazing Yule before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strum the guitar and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Follow me in creepy measure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
While I tell of Yule tide treasure,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Fast away the old year passes,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.,
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

I found this awesome image here:

I found it funny that I've known this song for so
long and never knew what it actually meant.

On the Ninth Day of Creepmas

I'll share a few recipes...

Leech Cobbler
All the boils & ghouls will love it...

(aka peach cobbler, but in honor of the
 Creepmas spirit, I've renamed it)

You'll need:

Flour, margarine*, baking powder, sugar*, 29 oz canned peaches leeches
optional: Cinnamon Sugar

*You can make it a bit healthier by using Splenda, light margarine, and as far as the fruit canned in it's own juice (not heavy syrup). If you want to make it less healthy, then use a pie filling instead and just add a few peaches leeches to the mix). Also if you hate peaches leeches, then pick whatever fruit you want.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Heat the canned fruit leeches
Melt 1 stick of margarine (not in the same pot as the fruit leeches)
Make batter of 1 cup flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 cup of sugar and mix the dry ingredients. Afterwards, mix in 1 cup of water.

Pour butter into baking dish. Pour in batter (I pour about 3/4 in first). Pour in fruit leeches. I usually like to sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on at this point, but it's totally optional. Finally, pour the remaining batter on top.

Bake for approx. 1 hour. But keep an eye out for it, sometimes it's finished before the hour is up.

P.S. This serves about 6-7 "walkers".

Pumpkin Bread
This one is even easier than the previous recipe. Follow the directions on the box.. hahaha!

BTW, I think us Creepers should forgo Santa's cookies and instead serve him this:

I thought this one was funny too:

On the 8th Day of Creepmas

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Zombies!: A Book of Zombie Christmas Carols
My friends wanted to do a guest blog so I "let" them take over my blog today. (If they have something to grunt, they'll type it in black).

Zombie Carols

Book Description

Fresh brains roasting on an open fire . . .

Outside the temperature's dropping. The snow is falling, blanketing the world in white. Sleigh bells are jingling. Soon it will be that most wondrous time of the year!
That time of flesh-devouring zombie horror!

Yes, Christmas is on its way—and all the little boys and ghouls are dreaming of stockings filled with candied eyes and bleeding body parts. You'd better watch out! Santa Claws is coming to town—and he knows who's been naughty, who's been naughtier . . . and who'll taste best with a nice glass of Chianti!

The Zombie Night Before Christmas
(hey, we've all had our bad days!!)

Book Description

Why worry about the Grinch when you’ve got ZOMBIES on the attack! Their prey? America’s best-loved Christmas poem. Get ready to have a holly jolly zombie holiday with this monstrously funny mash-up that subverts all that tiresomely good Christmas cheer. Clement C. Moore’s verses are tweaked and twisted, turning a once-cozy fireside read-aloud on its (now brainless) head. To complete the sacrilege: hilarious renderings of zombie stockings (undead legs!) hung by the chimney with care, and St. Nick attempting to repel a full-out, flesh-devouring zombie attack. One thing’s for sure—Santa and his eight tiny reindeer will never be the same!

I Am Scrooge: A Zombie Story for ChristmasI Am Scrooge: A Zombie Story Christmas

Book Description

Marley was dead—again. From the author of Yellow Blue Tibia, it's the Dickensian Zombie Apocalypse—God Bless us, every one!

The legendary Ebenezeer Scrooge sits in his house counting money. The boards that he has nailed up over the doors and the windows shudder and shake under the blows from the endless zombie hordes that crowd the streets hungering for his flesh and his miserly braaaaiiiiiinns! Just how did the happiest day of the year slip into a welter of blood, innards, and shambling, ravenous undead on the snowy streets of old London town? Will the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future be able to stop the world from drowning under a top-hatted and crinolined zombie horde? Was Tiny Tim's illness something infinitely more sinister than mere rickets and consumption? Can Scrooge be persuaded to go back to his evil ways, travel back to Christmas past, and destroy the brain stem of the tiny, irritatingly cheery Patient Zero?

The Undead that Saved Christmas
(see we aren't ALL bad guys!!)

Book Description

The Undead That Saved Christmas is the heart-chilling anthology with stories across the spectrum of holiday mythology. The perfect stocking stuffer that doesn't include a box of shotgun shells or a macheté, The Undead That Saved Christmas brings together various talented authors and artists from Great Britain, the United States and Ireland. Stories include The Magic of Christmas, by Rebecca Besser; Santa Claws is Coming to Town, by Calvin A.L. Miller II; Night of the Frozen Elf, by Richard S. Crawford; And to All a Good Fright by Stacey Graham; and many others. The anthology also includes rich illustrations by David Naughton-Shires, Jason Tudor, Chris Williams and more. Another thing to expect in this anthology is a fun collection of holiday zombie-themed poems and carols. And to wrap things up there is an awesome assortment of original comics, from Mike Schneider, Nate Call, and many others. Proceeds from the sales of The Undead That Saved Christmas benefit the Hugs Foster Family Agency (hugsffa.org) and will help them give their foster children gifts this holiday season.

Hope you enjoy our book selections.

Hugs & Bites,

the Zombies

P.S. We have a lot to offer society, so don't just shoot us as soon as you see us. We are people too.. dead, but still people. Merry Creepmas... hope to eat see you soon!

On the 7th day of Creepmas...

We'll catch up with my homeboy Gingy...

He attended a Ginger-Raid Party! (Which I wasn't invited to BTW)

Busted: Sipping on some Dew & gumdrops

& He started feeling sick, but wouldn't stop ...
moving onto pixie dust and malts,

He even called me to be his DD. Gingy.. you're outta control!

So this is what happened to poor Gingy:

Gingy terds & a cray-cray hangover.

It's the gumdrops Gingy! You know they are bad for you!!!

Here's the real story --- I burnt some gingerbread.
I told you guys in the beginning I would let you "see" the good and the bad awful. I was attempting to make gingerbread pumpkins (instead of men) for Creepmas. Apparently gingerbread is not for beginners (or igits.. I'm not sure which yet). I spread the dough all over my counter to roll it and it ended up looking like smeared poo. I gathered what I could and flopped it onto the pan to bake.

Smeared poo-dough with my decorative pumpkin cutter LOL

So the final product... "Burnt Gingerbread Terds".

So Merry Creepmas... it sure is going by fast.
Kisses from the kids

On the 6th day of Creepmas...

You visit Frosty's evil twin Frozen on his own turf....

For some reason this is showing that I posted this on Monday, buuuut it's actually 12 a.m. Tuesday so go figure. Yeah.. I can't sleep so I'm Christmas shopping and blogging...

I don't know about you, but I absolutely loved making shoebox dioramas for school projects. Everyone I know hated them. I was secretly thrilled every time we were assigned to make one. So I decided to make one for Creepmas.

Yep that's an eyeball that he ripped out
of an unsuspecting victim.
PS Don't forget the Ebook giveaway HERE ... you have until the 12th!

On the Fifth Day of Creepmas

My kiddos received some coal from:

Krampus

On the eve of St. Nicholas’s Day, Austrians celebrate the Krampuslauf (Krampus Run). The Krampus, represented by costumed revelers, is usually depicted as a dark,cloven-hooved beast covered with hair, red horns on his head, a malicious mouth, chains and a switch. He visits the children on Santa's Naughty List.

Children are invited to throw snowballs at the Krampus.

(here is one of the naughty children..)

On The Second Day of Creepmas

..we'll talk about trees.

pics on Sodahead

There are so many options as far as trees go. Paint 'em black, smother 'em with webs and use bone ornaments. Or do something like the tree above.

I made a small Creepmas tree with webs, a spider, and a Jack Skellington star.
Here are some more trees I found online:

and I spy something black and fluffy...
